One night, Lily put on her new star-covered pajamas. They felt soft and warm. As she lay in bed, her pajamas began to sparkle and glow! "Wow!" said Lily. Her long silver braids floated up as if by magic. She saw two doors appear in her room. One was made of clouds, and one was made of rainbows.

Lily stepped toward the rainbow door. It sparkled with all the colors she could think of. She reached out and turned the doorknob. It felt warm and tingly. As the door opened, a bright light filled her room. Lily walked through. She found herself in a magical garden. Flowers sang sweet songs. Butterflies with wings made of candy fluttered by. Then Lily saw something amazing! A tiny unicorn with rainbow hair was crying near a big puddle. "Why are you sad?" Lily asked the unicorn. "I lost my favorite star," the unicorn sniffled. "It fell from my horn into this big puddle. But I'm too small to reach it." Lily looked at the puddle. She could see a tiny star twinkling at the bottom.

Lily looked around the magical garden. She spotted a long, thin branch under a singing rose bush. "Maybe this can help!" she said. Lily picked up the branch. It was just the right length. She carefully reached into the puddle with the stick. The star sparkled under the water. Lily moved the stick closer and closer. "Almost there!" said the tiny unicorn, hopping from hoof to hoof. But when the stick touched the star, something strange happened! The star began to glow brighter and brighter. Suddenly, the puddle started to bubble and swirl. Rainbow colors danced on its surface. A water fairy popped her head out of the puddle! "Hello!" said the water fairy. "Are you trying to help this little unicorn?"

"Yes," Lily said politely. "The unicorn's star fell in your puddle. Can you help us get it back?" The water fairy smiled and twirled in the water. "Of course I can help! But first, would you like to visit my underwater palace? The star rolled all the way down there, and it's quite magical!" The tiny unicorn perked up. "Oh! Can we really go underwater?" Lily looked at her sparkly pajamas. "But won't we get wet?" The water fairy laughed like tinkling bells. "Don't worry! My magic will keep you dry. Your magical pajamas will work perfectly underwater!" Lily saw two ways she could go about this:

Lily reached out and held the unicorn's tiny hoof in one hand and the water fairy's delicate hand in the other. "Ready?" asked the water fairy with a sparkly smile. "Ready!" said Lily and the unicorn together. They jumped into the puddle with a splash! But Lily didn't feel wet at all. Her star pajamas glowed even brighter underwater. They floated down, down, down through crystal-clear water. Lily saw fish made of jewels swimming past. Sea plants that looked like candy canes swayed in the gentle current. At the bottom was the most amazing sight - a beautiful palace made of seashells and pearls! It sparkled in all the colors of the rainbow. "Welcome to my home!" said the water fairy. They swam through the palace gates. In the main hall, tiny starfish danced on the walls. A group of seahorses played musical instruments. Then Lily spotted something glowing in the corner. It was the unicorn's star! But it wasn't alone - it was playing tag with other fallen stars! "Look!" Lily pointed. "Your star made friends!" The tiny unicorn bounced with joy in the water. But then looked sad again. "What's wrong?" asked Lily. "We found your star!" "Well..." said the unicorn. "The star looks so happy here with its new friends. But I miss having it on my horn."

The water fairy smiled kindly. "Why not take two stars? One can stay here with its new friends, and one can go home with you!" She waved her wand, and two stars floated up. One settled gently on the unicorn's horn, glowing bright and happy. The other star waved goodbye and swam back to play with its friends. "Thank you!" said the tiny unicorn, horn twinkling with its new star. The water fairy spun her wand again, and whoosh! They all floated back up through the magical puddle. Back in the garden, Lily gave the unicorn and water fairy big hugs goodbye. Her pajamas sparkled one last time, and she found herself back in her own warm bed. Lily smiled, snuggling under her covers. Her star pajamas twinkled softly as she drifted off to sleep, dreaming of underwater palaces and happy little unicorns with glowing stars on their horns.
