One night in a big garden, there was a tiny gecko named Gordie. Gordie was not like other geckos. His spots could glow! They lit up like tiny stars on his green skin. Gordie loved to play in the garden at night. The flowers were all asleep, and the moon was bright. But Gordie felt lonely. No other animals were awake to see his pretty glowing spots. He sat on a leaf and looked up at the stars. His spots began to twinkle just like them. Then he had an idea! Maybe he could use his special spots to make new friends.

Gordie stood up tall on his leaf and concentrated hard. His spots began to dance and swirl. First, he made them look like a flower. The spots glowed soft and pretty in the dark. A small moth flew by and stopped to look. "Oh my!" said the moth. "What a lovely light!" Gordie was so happy! He changed his spots again. This time they looked like tiny butterflies flying. The moth called to her friends, and soon more moths came to see. "Can you make more patterns?" they asked. Gordie's spots could do so many things. He could make them look like stars, hearts, or even dancing leaves. But he wondered what pattern to show his new friends next.

Gordie smiled at the moths and focused his energy. His spots began to shift and move, twinkling like little drops of rain falling from the sky. The moths fluttered with joy! "It looks just like a gentle rain shower!" one moth said, dancing in circles around Gordie. As Gordie's spots sparkled like falling rain, something magical happened. Real fireflies came to see what was making such pretty light in the garden. They hovered near Gordie, their own lights blinking in rhythm with his glowing spots. "Your spots are amazing!" said a firefly. "We've never seen anything like this before!" Gordie felt so proud. He had made even more friends! The fireflies started to blink their lights along with his raindrop pattern. Soon, the whole garden was twinkling like a rainy night full of stars. But then Gordie heard a small sound. It was coming from behind a flower. Someone else was watching his light show!

Gordie peeked behind the flower and saw a tiny baby mouse, watching with big, wide eyes. The mouse was trembling a little, afraid of the dark. "Don't be scared," Gordie said softly. His spots changed to make gentle, warm patterns like a cozy blanket of stars. The baby mouse crept closer. "I always feel alone in the dark," the mouse whispered. "You're not alone anymore," Gordie smiled. His spots glowed extra bright, and all his new friends - the moths and fireflies - gathered around. They made a circle of twinkling lights that lit up the whole garden. The baby mouse giggled and danced in the light. From that night on, Gordie's garden became a special place where all the night creatures would gather. Every evening, they would watch his spots tell stories in the dark, making the garden the most magical place to be. And Gordie was never lonely again, because he learned that sharing your special gift is the best way to make friends.
